About Keith
Keith was born at Fort Hood, Texas, the son of a career military officer and a healthcare educator. He spent his childhood moving every two to three years from one corner of the United States to another, with a few years of European and Hawaiian living scattered in.
Keith works as a private surgical and performance equine consultant, focusing on yearling to racing-age Thoroughbreds. He has also provided professional and surgical services for nonprofit Thoroughbred retirement and retraining organizations. He has published and presented several peer-reviewed scientific papers on equine surgery and is actively involved in equine nutrition research with Texas A&M and Montana State universities.
His Work With
Keith co-founded FullBucket after volunteering veterinary care for working horses in rural Central America. Back home in surgical practice, he kept seeing the same problem. The surgery would go well, but recovery brought digestive upset, and there wasn't a product on the market built to support the gut through it. So Dr. Keith Latson and Dr. Rob Franklin built one. Together they formulate and review every FullBucket product, and that clinical experience is still the foundation of the line today.
